The Implant Experience emerged from the collective frustration of individual working inside the healthcare ecosystem who witnessed too many preventable device tragedies.

THE FOUNDER
John Owens is the founder of The Implant Experience.
He spent more than twenty years inside the medical device industry — first as an implant representative for a major orthopedic manufacturer, then as cofounder of a company that managed medical device documentation in surgical settings. That work put him in operating rooms and hospital systems in the United States and abroad, tracking what went into patients, what it cost, and where the implant record ended up.
It also showed him the gap.
The safety information that exists on an implanted device — the recalls, the adverse event reports, the published failure data — is real, and it is public. It reliably stops one step short of the person carrying the device. Not because anyone hides it. Because no one's job requires moving it the last mile.
John founded The Implant Experience to move it.
The platform monitors FDA recall and enforcement data, adverse event reports, and the medical literature, translates it into plain language, and delivers it directly to the people who carry these devices.
It is independent by design.
And it holds one line without exception — device harm is a structural failure to be fixed, never a fault of the clinicians who place these devices.
